Norristown Chorale To Perform at the 3rd Annual Norristown Arts Hill Festival.
“The mission of the Norristown Chorale is to bring the joy of choral singing to our area; our members are thrilled to be participating for the first time in the Arts Hill Festival!”. The Norristown Chorael will be joined by a wide variety of local artists including R&B vocalist Alaina Nelson, the George Weldon Jazz Trio, the Norristones and the Metropolitan Ballet. “We’re proud of the wide variety of performers included in this year’s festival,” says Gene R. Frank, Festival Coordinator. “The inclusion of different styles, cultures and genres makes for an exciting day, and an ideal celebration of Norristown.”
This year’s festival includes an expanded set of children’s activities, beginning at 10:00am, including a performance of “John Henry” by the Centre Theater, an interactive mural activity sponsored by ACPPA, and an array of family and child-friendly performances and activities.
The Festival is provided free of charge and is populated by vendors of fine arts, performance-related businesses, cultural delicacies, favorite foods, and local/regional services. The festival is organized by the Norristown Arts Council and has been supported financially by the sponsorship from the Greater Norristown Corporation (GNC), friends in the community, and the Municipality of Norristown. Financial support has also come from local businesses and patrons of the Arts through advertising and sponsorship.
